Medfiles’ Essi Sarkkinen, Director, Clinical Research and Medical Device, has been appointed Chair of the FINCRO Network for 2026. FINCRO brings together fifteen contract research organisations (CROs) and Site management organisations (SMOs) operating in Finland and supports collaboration and the development of clinical research.

In her role as Chair of FINCRO, Essi will participate in the Accelerating Global R&D: Leveraging Finland’s Unique Health Data Ecosystem event in Helsinki on 17 September. She will join the FinTrials panel discussion, representing the CRO&SMO network operating in Finland.
FinTrials is a national collaboration model aimed at strengthening Finland’s position as an attractive location for clinical trials. The initiative brings together key stakeholders across the Finnish clinical research ecosystem to support more efficient study set-up, participant recruitment and collaboration.
Essi’s appointment provides great opportunity for Medfiles’ clinical research expertise to contribute to the wider development of clinical research in Finland through the FINCRO Network.
